Analisis Risiko Bahaya Pada Pekerjaan Cleaning Internal Tank (Confined Space) Menggunakan Hiradc di PT. X Tahun 2023

Abstract

Background: PT. X has a fuel tank that will be repaired, but there was a case of work accident in 2022 which caused workers to be buried in a mud slide, this incident is one of the impacts of the dangers of working in confined spaces.

Objective: to find out the risk analysis of hazards in internal tank (confined space) cleaning work using HIRADC at PT. X

Method: This research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The instruments used are observations and observation sheets. The object of this research consists of internal tank cleaning work and the workplace, which is a confined space.

Results: The results of this research show that there are 8 work steps that fall into the high risk category, namely the work of mobilizing work tools and materials (score 12/high), opening the bundwall using an excavator (score 12/high), repositioning the plate for road access (score 10/high), opening the top and side manholes (score 12/high), installing the top and side blowers (score 12/high), the process of emptying the tank/manual cleaning (score 16/high), closing the top and side manholes (score 12/high), and mobilizing work tools & materials out (score 12/high). Meanwhile, there are 4 work steps that fall into the medium risk category, namely installing portable toilets and making mud storage tanks (score 9/ medium), mobilizing drums containing mud to TPS (score 8/ medium), inspections (score 8/ medium), and cleaning areas (score 6/ medium).

Conclusion : From the analysis results, there are 8 work steps that fall into the high risk category, namely the work of mobilizing work tools and materials in, opening the bundwall with an excavator, repositioning the plate for road access, opening the top and side manholes, installing the top and side blowers, the process of emptying the tank/ manual cleaning, closing the top and side manholes, and mobilizing work tools and materials out. Meanwhile, there are 4 work steps that fall into the medium risk category, namely installing portable toilets and making mud storage tanks, mobilizing drums containing mud to TPS, inspections and cleaning areas.
