Analisis Hubungan Pengetahuan dan Sikap dengan Pemanfaatan Buku KIA sebagai Media Deteksi Dini Stunting pada Balita di Wilayah Kerja UPT Puskesmas Bontomarannu

Abstract

Background: The prevalence of the use of KIA books in South Sulawesi was reviewed from growth monitoring of 50.5%, development monitoring of 41.7%, immunization history of 64.9% and health checks at the time of illness of 16.1%. There are several areas in South Sulawesi with a low prevalence of KIA book utilization, one of which is Makassar City with a prevalence of utilization based on growth monitoring points (32.44%), development monitoring (32.44%), immunization history was 64.9% and health checks during illness were 16.1%. There are several areas in South Sulawesi with a low prevalence of KIA book use, one of which is Makassar City with a prevalence of use based on growth monitoring points (32.44%), development monitoring (32.44%), immunization history (62.70%) and examination during illness (7.64%).Objective: To determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes with the use of KIA books as a media tool for early detection of stunting in toddlers in the Bontomarannu Community Health Center working area.Method: The type of research used is quantitative research. This research is an observational analytical study using a cross sectional design. This research will measure the independent variables that have been determined regarding the use of KIA books at the Bontomarannu Public Health Center.Results: The results of the research showed that 56 people (19.1%) had poor knowledge and had an impact on using KIA books effectively and 41 people (14.0%) did not have an effective impact. Meanwhile, 113 people (38.6%) had good knowledge and had an impact on using KIA books effectively and 83 people (28.3%) did not effectively. Meanwhile, the research results for the attitude variable showed that 32 people (10.9%) had negative attitudes and had an impact on the effective use of KIA books and 57 people (19.5%) had ineffective attitudes. Meanwhile, 137 people (46.8%) had a positive attitude and had an impact on using the KIA book effectively and 67 people (22.9%) had an ineffective attitude.Conclusion: The conclusion of this research is that there is no relationship between the level of knowledge and the use of MCH books by mothers of toddlers in the working area of ​​the Bontomarannu Community Health Center with the chi square test results obtained with a sig value of 1,000 > 0.05 (???? > α). Meanwhile, for the attitude variable, there is a relationship between attitude and the use of KIA books by mothers of toddlers in the Bontomarannu Community Health Center UPT working area and the SPSS test results obtained a sig value of .000 < 0.05 (???? < α ).
