Dysmenorrhea is pain during menstruation or pain caused by menstruation which is felt by teenagers in the lower abdomen or waist, which is like heartburn, aching, and like stabbing, diarrhea, even fainting which is felt before or during menstruation.
Objective: To determine the effect of child pose on reducing menstrual pain in female MA Darul Aitam Jerowaru students.
Method: This type of research is quantitative research with a pre-experimental research design with a pre-experimental design type with a one group pretest-posttest design. The total population of students who experience menstrual pain is 124 people. So the overall sample size is 36 students. The sampling technique is simple random sampling. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test
Results: Research shows that the respondent's pain level before the intervention was carried out had a median value of 5.00 with a minimum value of 2 and a maximum value, while the respondent's pain level after the intervention had a median value of 3.50 with a minimum value of 0 and a maximum value of 6. The results of statistical tests using the Wilcoxon test, obtained a value ρ-value = 0.000 (ρ ≤ 0.05) so it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of child pose on reducing menstrual pain in female students at MA Darul Aitam Jerowaru.
Conclusion: There is an influence of child pose (balasana) on reducing menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) in female students at MA Darul Aitam Jerowaru. This is shown from the results of statistical tests using the Wilcoxon test, the value obtained is ρ-value = 0.000 (ρ ≤ 0.05).
