Abstract
Background: The problem that often occurs in pre-school children is the behavior in consuming sweet foods or drinks, but it is not accompanied by teeth cleaning behavior that causes dental caries in children. So that parents play an important role in the education of pre-school children, how parents can be good examples, guide, direct, and motivate in caring for dental health in pre-school children.
Objective: . This study aims to determine the relationship between the role of parents in dental and oral hygiene with the incidence of dental caries in pre-school children at Mawar Kindergarten (TK).
Method: The type of research used is a cross sectional study. There are 35 pre-school children related to the role of parents in dental and oral hygiene with the incidence of dental caries in pre-school children in the Mawar Kindergarten (TK). with total sampling sampling techniqueResults: Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menemukan bahwa ada hubungan dengan pengetahuan pencegahan Covid-19 pada ibu hamil (p value = 0,037), ada hubungan sikap dengan pencegahan Covid-19 pada ibu hamil (p value = 0,022), ada hubungan pendidikan dengan pencegahan Covid- 19 pada ibu hamil (p value = 0,000), ada hubungan pekerjaan dengan pencegahan Covid-19 pada ibu hamil (p value = 0,029), ada hubungan sumber informasi dengan pencegahan Covid-19 pada ibu hamil (p value = 0,005).
Conclusion: There is a relationship between the role of parents in dental and oral hygiene with the incidence of dental caries in preschool children at Mawar Kindergarten (TK). It is hoped that parents will give good parental roles to their children.
