Abstract

Background : Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease that occurs due to the interaction of genetic
immunologic, lifestyle environment.
Objective : To find out the analysis of the determinants of nutritional status of diabetes mellitus patients in
the working area of the talaga jaya public health center.
Methods : This type of research uses analytic observational research with a cross sectional study design.
The sample in this study amounted to 324 people. The sampling method used in this research is by using
random sampling technique.
Results : In this study, the results showed that for the habit of consuming vegetables and fruits p value =
1.000, fruit p value =0.287, while for risky food consumption habits salty food p value = 0.847, fatty food p
value = 0.831,sweet food p value = 0.576, and for physical activity p value = 0.994 and for glucose when p
value = 0.798, then for self efficacy p value = 0.151.
Conclusion : There is no relationship between vegetable and fruit consumption habits, risky food
consumption habits, physical activity, current glucose, self efficacy with nutritional status in diabetes
mellitus patients in the work area of the talaga jaya health center.
