Hubungan Beban Kerja dengan Kinerja Perawat di Instalasi Rawat Inap RSUD Labuang Baji di Kota Makassar

Abstract

Background: Hospitals are one of the healthcare service institutions that play a crucial role in providing
comprehensive services to the community. The performance of nurses, as healthcare workers who interact
directly with patients, is one of the primary factors determining the quality of service in hospitals.
Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between workload and the performance of nurses in
the Inpatient Ward of Labuang Baji Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in Makassar City.
Methods: This study used a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study
were all nurses in the inpatient rooms of Labuang Baji Hospital, totaling 141 people, and the sampling
technique used was total sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires filled out directly by the
respondents, while the data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test with a significance level of α=0.05.
Results: The study results showed that workload is related to nurse performance (p = 0.001).
Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between workload and nurse performance. It is recommended
that the hospital management pay attention to nurses' workload in an effort to improve performance and the
quality of nursing services in the hospital.
